Autumn Price Rises 2019

As the autumn approaches, suppliers have been reviewing their electricity tariffs and announcing changes.

Over the past few weeks Power NI, Electric Ireland, Click Energy and SSE have all announced inflation-busting price rises.

We'll be keeping this guide up to date with all the latest information.

Timeline

  1. 15 Aug

    Power NI, Northern Ireland’s latest supplier, announce a 6.1% increase from 1st October.

  2. 30 Aug

    SSE Airtricity increase electricity rates by 6.9% from 1st October.

  3. 30 Aug

    Electric Ireland prices are also on the move, with an 8% increase reported in the Belfast Telegraph.

  4. 09 Sep

    Click Energy announce a 5.87% increase in electricity unit rate, and the introduction of a new standing charge of 8.895p or 11.138 per day, changes are effective from 1st October.
